We do pantry rotations and a three tier working pantry where we rotate food and have it stored for long term and short term use! I will say we do not use a ton of rice or oats, so this will last a long time. I spent around $20 on four bags of organic oats containing about 20 lbs total of old fashioned and quick oats and $2.50 on a 10lb bag of rice on markdown.
